April Fool's Day

Chocolate pie with Strawberry icing for dinner?! Eva was so excited and couldn't stop thanking me...Mickey - definitely looked confused until Todd blurted out, oh April Fool's, haha. Next year, I'll have to tell him not to let the cat out of the bag! This pie was really more of a meatloaf pie with beet infused mashed potatoes for icing - yum!




And for dessert...Hamburgers! I made sesame cookies that looked like buns, used a york peppermint pattie for the 'meat' and put green shredded coconut for lettuce. I didn't have enough time (or energy) to make icing in yellow and red for ketchup and mustard plus I was a little worried that it would be too sweet with them. They didn't fool anyone anyway, they were cute, but Eva can smell chocolate a mile away!
