Stella's Halloween Ballet Party (Recital #1)

This baby loves ballet so much! I love watching her dance. Her teacher, Miss Charlene, takes a class of 2 year olds and dances with them while the moms get a 1 hour break. Halloween was their first party or recital where they had an audience. To everyone's surprise, Stella was frozen like a rock. Glad they have 2 more parties before the real recital!

This shot isn't from the party, but from her first class. She came in prepared to rock this move:

This shot cracked me up. Look at Stella's dance partner next to her. Being 2 is so much fun!

Stella's Halloween Party

I feel like I am always throwing parties for Eva and her friends.  While Stella is always in attendance, she never gets her own parties (other than birthdays) with her friends!  So...I decided to throw her a little Halloween lunch party with her friends.  It was a friendly monster theme and all the little monsters seemed to have fun.  Carmen, Clara, Janie, Molly, and Kyra were there.  No one really wanted to dress up except for cute little candy corn Kyra!  Of course, I didn't get any pictures once the party started....but here's what the party scene looked like:

We had so much fun. The kids only had a half day of school and I figured we would head straight to the fair, just so we could say we did it. Our wonderful neighbor, Cat, had gone earlier in the day and didn't last long, so she gave us a bunch of ride tickets. When we got there, Eva wanted to hit all the rides, Stella wanted to sit in the stroller and eat popcorn and Mickey was on a mission for this year's junk food attraction - a Krispy Kreme Hamburger.

We ate a bunch of stuff that I never let the kids eat. I basically told them that it's a one time thing (once per year, that is) and that they could each pick out one treat that they wanted. Stella chose cotton candy, Eva - a caramel apple that was rolled in M&Ms, and Mickey got that Krispy Kreme hamburger along with some deep fried oreos. Fabulous.

After the kids played a ton of games and rode a bunch of rides, Stella finally got her second wind and decided she wanted to get out of the stroller to ride one of the rides. She had so much fun, she didn't want to leave. We ended up staying for 6 hours. Not what I had planned, but we had a blast!

Eva's favorite part of the fair was the pink stuffed bear that she one popping balloons with a dart. Stella, the adrenaline junkie, loved the rides. Mickey - goes without saying, the food.

Oh, Eva also milked a cow. She was pretty cute with all of her questions. She was really concerned about hurting the poor cow, but once she got over that part, she did a great job!

The blog has received a new look, thanks to Todd. Bigger pictures - yay. Now, if only I would actually post something. Been really busy with the kids in school, photography business is booming, etc. I will try to get some new content up soon!

My punk

52 week project was not a success.  I fell behind and that was the end of it.  I haven't taken any photos of the kids in awhile because I've been too busy with everything else.  Took a few yesterday and this is a little hint of what I got from Stella:

Eva

So much for my 52 week project. I think I have been doing it, but I haven't been so great with posting the results. I may dig through and get things posted, but in the meantime, here are a few from this weekend's photo session with Eva.
